A really good friend of mine asked me to help him in designing some tshirts for a fundraising walk that he and his family take part in every year that benefits the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His son, Logan, was born with a a form of congenital heart disease called DORV (Double Outlet Right Ventricle), where both of the great arteries connect (in whole or in part) to the right ventricle (RV).

Big Hearts 2 Little Hearts, the organization that produces the event, hosts a multitude of families that are often wearing tshirts and other apparel in support of the children in their families who’ve received care from C.H.O.P. 100% of the money raised goes directly to the hospital and used in the treatment and care of other children there.

Here are some of the photos from the day with the actual screenprinted shirts. Even though the weather was freakishly cold, windy and wet, a majority of the friends and family still completed the walk.

Thankfully, I had a friend and major Mustang enthusiast who informed me that the Boss 302 wasn’t produced in 1972 as I originally thought, thereby saving me loads of time I would’ve spent searching for a reference photo. My friend mentioned that if it was mocked up in ‘Grabber Blue’, that we would purchase a print. And so, here is that result.
